Halloween Spooktacular 2008
What do you get when your sisters, sister in law, brother and all spouses send out invitations to your children's elementary school (grades k-9)? Hmm? anyone, anyone? bueller, bueller?
158!
that is how many children show up to a halloween party.. granted (translates to THANK GOD) we divided up the parties this year and held the k-4 party from 3-5 and the 6-9 party from 7-9:30. We had 73 children show up for the 1st party and 83 show up for the second party. Needless to say, we are all tired and geared up for next year.
Here are some pics to share.

A good time was had by all...
The sisters and I got together Friday night for Brammy's bday party. Deanne reserved condos for us at her building in the city of O, and we went down to the market for some good foods. We ate at Jazz..it was....different. I had ribeye, it was ok..the potatoes and veggies ROCKED! we then decided we needed more wine and went to buy some more. At the end of this excursion Cindy's alternator or battery decided it had enough..and we had to push her car. I am sure it was hilarious to bystanders...at midnight! lol.. we had a good laugh, and stuffed deanne in the back of dianne's car, and piled in to head back downtown. We drank some more wine, watched some tv..and went to sleep..at about 2:30am. It was a night i will remember for the rest of my life. A night to spend with some of the most important people in my life. We laughed until we cried, drank some wine, slept, dined, and shopped for the halloween party yesterday. I loved every minute of it..well...except nobbies 2 weeks before halloween, or walmart on a saturday.
thanks girls for making memories with me...DEANNE>..need those pics so i can post them

Prayers needed...
My great niece, Hadleigh, is going in for a procedure today. Please keep Stacy, Curtis, Faylynn, and Haddie in your prayers. Let's hope everything goes great, and she can have her second stage surgery soon.

Hadleigh was born with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She had stage one surgery, and will need the second stage soon. Let's put our prayers together to help her out.
thanks

The BEST class EVER!

I took a class with Cathy Zielske at CKC this morning. This was the. best. class. ever.

I had so much fun, got my pic taken with her, AND won a door prize. Her second book. She even autographed it for me. If you ever get the chance to take a scrapbooking class with her. do it. you will laugh so hard you cry.

ugh.
Do you ever feel like you could just be a better person, wife, mother, friend? I do. I just wonder how bad i am screwing up my kids, what could their potential be WITHOUT me as a mom? I wonder how I can start relating or understanding my son. My daughter I am pretty sure I understand..she just wants to be a boy. that's it. i know it will change once she gets older, but now..she just wants to be a boy.
I asked danny what he wants me to know about him..how I could understand him better. he said he didn't know.
danny is such a laid back, weird kid. i hope others see him the same way. I heard a quote once that said, parenting is something you rarely know you're good at until they are grown.

The Three Amigos...
We went to the river this weekend. Mike's friend Zachariah..who i deliberately call zachary, is home on leave. He is currently stationed in Iraq, so anytime to see him breathing..is a good time. I shot some pics..(they didn't turn out quite so good..but here they are) of Mike, Zach, and Rich. They have been friends for a long time. Since Mike was stationed in Fort Lewis, and I was a senior in high school then! lol..

Here they are
